Provide services regarding prevention recognition evaluation immediate care and rehabilitation for all active individuals and sports-related injuries. The individual will also demonstrate professional development and responsibility. The incumbent will perform related duties as assigned.Position Details:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy program with a doctorate degree. If applicable graduate of a Masters of Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program.
Licensure: State of practice license for Physical Therapy. State of practice licensure for athletic training.
Certification: Must have one of the following:
Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) Certification
Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) for Physical Therapy
Additional Certification: Mercy Health System approved Professional Rescuer CP
Other Skills Knowledge Abilities:
Performs patient care and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed.
Adapts to varying work hours and travel required throughout the year.
Has knowledge of various equipment such as: Therapeutic Modalities Thermal and Electric Modalities Computer Dictaphone Cellular Phone Therapeutic Equipment.
