Position Overview Coatings Inspector
Were looking for a NACE Coatings Inspector to support our expanding portfolio of infrastructure this role youll play an essential part in ensuring quality durability and compliance across field inspections testing and project execution.
What Youll Do
Technical & Field Inspection
- Ensure the quality and integrity of coatings applied on construction materials by performing inspections based on NACE standards
- Identify and address coating defects and non-compliance
- Submit daily inspection reports within <24 hours
- Maintain 90% completion of all assigned safety training
- Target zero avoidable safety or equipment incidents
- Submit 98% of draft reports within 8 hours with minimal revisions
- Maintain 95% on-time site check-in/check-out
- Less than 1 serious issue per quarter related to Inspections Measuring and Test Equipment due to technician error lack of maintenance or lost/damaged equipment
Documentation & Quality Records
- Maintain accurate inspection records using AEIS digital reporting tools
- Review and verify technical documents (e.g. WPS/PQR lab results etc.)
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Project Managers Engineers and QA/QC Specialists
- Contribute to lessons-learned discussions and workflow improvements
What Were Looking For
Must Haves
- NACE Level 1 or 2 certification (Active)
- Previous coating inspection experience
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
- OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel to project sites
Bonus Points
- AWS CWI Certification
- Familiarity with DOB and public agency documentation requirements

Salary Range: $38-42/hour
This range is based on national market data and may vary widely by experience and location.
