Job Summary
Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: New York NY
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift Details
- Multiple shifts available
- 5:00 AM 1:00 PM (2 openings)
- 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (1 opening)
- 4:00 PM 12:00 AM (1 opening)
- 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hrs/day 5 days/week)
- MondayFriday rotating weekends (every other weekend)
- Holidays required
Job Summary
Looking for experienced Phlebotomists to perform blood collection and support lab operations in a hospital setting. Focus on accuracy patient safety and proper handling of specimens.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections
- Collect and handle specimens properly
- Label and transport samples accurately
- Follow patient identification and safety protocols
- Maintain documentation
- Follow infection control guidelines
- Communicate with staff and patients
- Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience (hospital/lab/blood bank)
- Strong venipuncture skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy training required
Certifications
- CPT (Phlebotomy Technician) Required
- AHA BLS Required
