About the Opportunity

Strategic Business Systems Inc. (SBS) is proud to expand our long-standing partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are seeking experienced AWS Data Migration Consultants to join our growing Professional Services team.

This role is focused on helping customers successfully migrate modernize and optimize their data and workloads in AWS. You will work closely with AWS technical teams and customer stakeholders to design and execute migration strategies for mission-critical environments.

Our Professional Services division supports high-visibility complex projects across commercial and federal customers. This role is ideal for someone who understands both the technical and operational sides of data migration and can guide customers from assessment through execution and optimization.

Work Schedule

• Onsite support in Stuttgart Germany
• Flexibility to support mission requirements including occasional off-hours coordination during migration events or cutovers

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AWS data migration efforts including discovery assessment planning and execution
• Design and implement migration strategies for large-scale datasets and applications
• Support data movement using AWS services such as S3 Snowball EBS and related tools
• Assess existing environments and recommend migration paths aligned to business and mission needs
• Plan and execute cutover strategies with minimal operational disruption
• Troubleshoot migration challenges (performance connectivity data integrity)
• Provide post-migration optimization including cost and performance improvements
• Collaborate with stakeholders and clearly communicate technical approaches and tradeoffs

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Experience supporting data migration infrastructure transformation or cloud adoption efforts
• Familiarity with AWS core services (S3 EC2 EBS VPC IAM)
• Experience with storage data replication or backup/recovery technologies
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VPNs routing bandwidth constraints)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale data migrations (multi-terabyte or larger environments)
• Familiarity with AWS migration tools (Snowball DataSync Storage Gateway)
• Experience supporting federal or defense customers
• Background in hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect)
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms (NetApp Dell EMC etc.)
• Exposure to regulated environments (GovCloud IL environments)
