About The Opportunity
Our Americas team is currently seeking a Consulting Mining Engineer Mine Control based in Santiago this onsite role you will play a key part in supporting customers using our fleet management and mine production system Micromine Pitram. You will be responsible for delivering highquality implementation services and ongoing technical support including customer training system configuration product demonstrations beta testing of new features and supporting industry events and customer engagements.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager Mine Control (Americas) your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the successful onsite implementation and ongoing operation of Micromine Pitram projects at an underground client mine site
- Deliver training sessions for both clients and internal teams conducted onsite and remotely
- Ensure enhancement requests defects and development issues are clearly raised tracked and resolved
- Participate in beta testing of new product versions to validate functionality and performance improvements
- Provide technical support to the Sales team through product demonstrations trade shows and other customer or industry events
About You
You are a qualified mining engineer or hold a comparable qualification with hands-on underground mining experience and a strong interest in technology-driven solutions. You are confident in a client-facing environment and comfortable working onsite or in a hybrid capacity at client locations with the flexibility to travel as required.
Other key skills experience and qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering Information Technology Mechatronics Geology or a related discipline
- 47 years of operational experience in underground/open-pit/surface mining environments
- A minimum of 3 years experience with Micromine Pitram or a comparable fleet management system is preferred
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with solid technical aptitude
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally to support Micromine Pitram implementations
- Previous experience in technical support or consulting roles will be highly regarded
