Turner Industries has an opening for a Materials Manager to join our team in the New Iberia LA area. The Materials Manager manages employees that receive store and distribute material tools equipment and products. Exempt role; Reports to the Site Manager and/or Project Manager; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies.

Qualification Standards:

• High school or equivalent
• Preferably one (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Excellent organizational skills
• Advanced knowledge of industrial materials and goods
• Good leadership and mentoring skills
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen physical evaluation and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in lifting transporting storing and loading materials and products by use of conveyors cranes hoists or industrial trucks; applying knowledge of plant layout and material-handling equipment and procedures; studies receiving or shipping notices requests for movement of raw materials and finished products and reports of warehousing space available to develop schedule for material handling activities; may confer with supervisors of other departments to coordinate the flow of materials or products; may verify or prepare records such as routing slips material requisitions and job orders; maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times; perform additional assignments per supervisors direction

Compensation:

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders scaffolds structures etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders scaffolds structures etc.; reaching in all directions handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 100 pounds from ground level waist level and/or overhead; carrying objects tools equipment etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
