A Brief Overview

Develops processes and systems that improve quality productivity and operational efficiencies including oversight for service excellence with emphasis on evidence based best practice models. Determines the most effective use of resources to ensure the highest level of quality patient safety and patient/family experience. Responsible for assuring all phases of quality patient safety and reporting are being addressed.

What you will do

  • Oversees hospital performance improvements quality outcomes patient safety risk management medical staff support services infection control and service excellence for region. Promotes and builds upon proactive data driven decision making and implementations for the betterment of our patients residents families and employees.
  • Oversees all survey activities to ensure that the facility maintains accreditation and certification. This includes assisting with Joint Commission state and federal survey oversight.
  • Develops and implements medical staff quality improvement activities.
  • Assures completion of quality related data entry analysis and reporting.
  • Oversees analysis of data root cause analysis plans for improvement technical support to directors and/or managers and re-measurement activities to assess performance improvement.
  • Monitors quality performance indicators; prepares reports for quality oversight committees; develops vehicles to communicate performance to providers; and identifies clinical and administrative concerns for further investigation and analysis. Serves as a facilitator to guide improvement teams for continuous performance improvement and rapid cycle methodology such as PDCA cycles.
  • Develops and manages communications with providers government and accreditation organizations with respect to results of safety and quality projects/studies.
  • Serves as content expert on patient experience for the region.
  • Seeks and develops resources to assist leaders providers and staff on their journey to service excellence. Work with leaders to ensure best practices are being consistently implemented and sustained.
  • Provides education and best practices designed to elevate and maintain service outcomes.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing hiring developing training and retaining employees; planning assigning and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Qualifications

Required Education License/Certification or Work Experience:

  • Bachelors Nursing
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
  • 3 years supervisory hospital clinical
  • Management of complexities in data analysis and interpretation

Preferred Education License/Certification or Work Experience:

  • Masters Nursing or related healthcare field
