Job Summary
Leidos is seeking a Director of Growth to lead expansion in the Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) mission area within the Defense Systems Sector. This role focuses on advancing sensor-driven software-enabled CUAS solutions through systems integration digital engineering and rapid capability delivery.
The selected leader will shape and capture strategic opportunities across the U.S. Army Joint community and Combatant Commands translating emerging threatsparticularly Group 13 UAS and swarming systemsinto scalable mission-ready capabilities.
This position is based in Huntsville AL a critical hub for air and missile defense Army modernization and sensor development activities.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead development and execution of a CUAS growth strategy aligned to Leidos strengths in systems integration AI/ML and sensor fusion
Identify qualify and shape opportunities across Army Futures Command CCDC PEO Missiles & Space RCCTO JCO and Combatant Commands
Drive early customer engagement and requirements shaping influencing concepts CONOPS and pre-program activities
Lead capture of strategic pursuits including win strategies competitive positioning and teaming approaches
Partner with engineering and product teams to deliver integrated CUAS architectures across radar RF EO/IR C2 and analytics layers
Advance solutions leveraging open architectures digital engineering and rapid prototyping pathways (OTA DIU AFWERX)
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior operational requirements and acquisition leaders
Inform IRAD and internal investments in areas such as counter-swarm autonomous detection and sensor fusion
Represent Leidos at customer engagements industry days and executive briefings
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering Science Business or related field (Masters preferred)
15 years of experience in defense growth operations or capability development within CUAS IAMD or air defense domains
Demonstrated expertise in Counter-UAS (Group 13) SHORAD and integrated air defense systems
Experience shaping or leading large-scale defense portfolios and modernization efforts ($1B$10B)
Strong understanding of sensor technologies and integration (radar RF detection EO/IR passive sensing)
Proven ability to influence requirements acquisition pathways and senior DoD stakeholders
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Army capability development and AROC processes
Background supporting INDOPACOM or other COCOM-level IAMD/CUAS strategy
Familiarity with rapid acquisition pathways and prototyping organizations (e.g. RCCTO DIU JCO)
Experience integrating directed energy non-kinetic effects and advanced sensing technologies
Prior military service with leadership at battalion level or above
Advanced degree (War College MMAS MBA or technical discipline)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $154050.00 - $278475.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
