Schedule procedures for Bismarck interventional radiology and cardiology departments. Work closely with providers nurses technologists and ancillary staff for planning of procedures and follow up appointments.Daily tasks include but are not limited to: scheduling and coordinating procedures scheduling clinic appointments prior authorization registration review pre-procedure preparation with the patient and assisting with patients in the clinical setting.

Serve as Sanford systems administrator for both in-house and outpatient scheduling which includes responsibility for the maintenance security teaching and analytical recovery offered by the scheduling system.Job Description
The RN Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling procedures ensuring compliance with facility guidelines and documentation requirements. This role serves as a liaison between providers clinics clinical teams and other team members to maintain an efficient and accurate scheduling process. Key duties may include managing department calendars in the EMR system verifying documentation procedure planning and coordinating resources such as staffing equipment and if in a procedural department anesthesia. The position also supports operational workflows by attending departmental meetings distributing procedural reports and assisting with patient flow. Additional responsibilities may include collaborating across multiple departments providing pre/post procedure instructions to patients and family and working closely with prior authorization resources to ensure procedures are authorized before scheduling. Knowledge of insurance referrals for VA IHS WFS etc. is preferred. May assist APPs in clinic setting with rooming patients and providing patient education. The RN Scheduler upholds HIPAA standards and contributes to overall departmental service optimization.Qualifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred including but not limited to Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelors Degree in nursing preferred.Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
