Transportation Engineering Leader
Benesch is seeking to hire a Project Manager or Engineering Technical Lead to increase our Transportation Design and Construction Engineering presence and lead activities in Nebraska. This is an experienced position involving exciting challenging and complex assignments with opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will be comfortable marketing and delivering projects developing staff and developing and maintaining good industry connections and relationships at the state and local levels. Strong project and people management skills are required. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in design of roadways highways and interstates from preliminary to final.
Location
This position will be based out of any of our Nebraska offices including Omaha NE; Lincoln NE; Grand Island NE; and Bellevue NE.
The Impact You Will Have
- Lead development and delivery of projects having local state and regional benefits.
- Participate in Business Development including networking proposal preparation and contracts.
- Coordinate staff activities to assure achieving goals of project budget schedule and quality.
- Support various local regional and corporate initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or related and Professional Engineering License or the ability to obtain one in Nebraska are required.
- Excellent communication strong written oral and client relation skills experience interacting with clients agencies and other project stakeholders.
- Experience in making presentations before elected officials and advisory boards attending conferences and participating in interviews.
- Strong organization and leadership skills including development of professional staff.
- Experience managing single and multi-discipline projects and professional teams including contracting cost control staff and subconsultant coordination and quality assurance/quality control.
- Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner.
- Experience working with state and/or local public agencies.
