DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Demand Planner III contributing to global healthcare and scientific advancement. This remote role (U.S. preference for East Coast time zone) sits at the center of Product Management Finance and Supply Chain.
You will translate commercial plans into credible achievable demand and lead the global Demand SIOP process for the Laboratory Chemical this highly collaborative and visible role you will guide Demand Reviews attended by Director- and VP-level leaders influence cross-functional alignment and own the consensus demand plan and its performance. This position is ideal for a seasoned planner who thrives on building alignment using data to shape decisions and operating in a complex global environment.
How will you make an impact
- Own and continuously improve the global Demand SIOP process.
- Partner with Commercial Product Management Finance and Supply Planning to develop a 24-month consensus demand plan.
- Influence stakeholders to align on realistic demand assumptions using data and scenario analysis.
- Drive transparency and confidence in the demand plan through clear analytics and facilitation.
WHAT YOU WILL LEAD:
Demand Planning & SIOP
- Develop and recommend a forward-looking demand plan integrating forecasts Commercial input portfolio strategy and NPI inputs.
- Facilitate monthly SIOP Demand Reviews guiding cross-functional discussion surfacing risks and opportunities and driving alignment on key assumptions.
- Once aligned own the demand plan and its results including new product launches and lifecycle transitions.
Forecast Performance & Process Improvement
- Monitor forecast accuracy bias and forecast value add; translate results into improvement actions.
- Standardize demand planning processes and partner with Supply Chain and IT to enhance tools and data quality.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Operations Management Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years experience in supply chain planning demand forecasting or a related field.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience leading Demand Planning and SIOP / S&OP processes in a cross-functional global environment.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive consensus across Commercial Product Finance and Supply Chain teams.
- Experience presenting demand insights and recommendations to Director- and VP-level stakeholders.
- Experience in life sciences chemicals or regulated industries is preferred but not required.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Deep understanding of demand management and planning principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear persuasive insights.
- Diplomatic collaborative approach with the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
- Comfort operating in a matrixed global organization with competing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience in data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Power Query.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP Oracle etc.).
- Experience with demand planning tools; Kinaxis preferred.
- Professional certifications (IBP APICS Six Sigma) are a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $81800.00$122750.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
