Safety Manager | Ridgefield, NJ

As a Safety Manager youll lead the charge in building a culture where safety is more than a priority its a core value. Youll ensure best practices are implemented compliance standards are met and every team member goes home safe each day.

HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Manager in Ridgefield NJ to support a construction project at a former hazardous materials (hazmat) site. This role requires a strong background in site safety OSHA compliance and experience working in high-risk environments including excavation and hazardous conditions.

• Oversee all aspects of a construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
• Conduct daily safety meetings and site orientations
• Perform daily safety audits inspections and hazard assessments
• Monitor excavation activities and enforce safe work practices
• Support LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and fall protection compliance
• Ensure proper PPE usage across all personnel on site
• Assist with incident investigations and reporting

• OSHA 30
• HAZWOPER 40 Certification required
• Experience working on hazmat or environmentally sensitive sites
• Strong knowledge of excavation safety standards
• Familiarity with LOTO and fall protection practices
• Air monitoring experience (preferred not required)
• Ability to recognize hazards and enforce corrective actions in real time
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
