Together Were in It for Engineering Manager will lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team to support all phases of the product lifecycle including new product introduction process development sustaining activities and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence through process optimization cost management quality improvement and compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment. The Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure engineering solutions align with business objectives customer requirements and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of accountability innovation and continuous improvement at the Orchard Park Job Responsibilities:Lead coach and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team supporting new product introductions process development and ongoing engineering resources priorities and budgets to support business goals including cost reduction capacity expansion yield improvement and operational improvements in throughput scrap reduction cost of goods (COGs) quality performance and workplace with Operations Quality R&D Supply Chain and other functions to support product launches transfers and lifecycle management develop and implement manufacturing processes equipment and technologies to enhance production capability and engineering activities comply with company Quality Systems and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) execution of process validations equipment qualifications engineering change activities and technical lean continuous improvement and data-driven methodologies to improve manufacturing performance and engineering root cause analysis efforts and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) related to manufacturing and quality and enhance engineering tools and systems (e.g. CAD PDM DFx simulation manufacturing systems) to support efficient product and process operational and technical challenges into actionable engineering solutions with measurable a culture of teamwork accountability innovation and continuous learning within the engineering talent development through coaching performance management succession planning and alignment with company values and career growth Requirements:Knowledge / EducationBachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; advanced degree Experience8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a regulated industry (Aerospace or automotive); medical device experience strongly preferred.6 years of engineering leadership experience including direct management of technical experience supporting multiple phases of the product lifecycle including process development validation and production working knowledge of FDA ISO and OSHA proficiency in Swiss Machining; experience operating or programming Swisstype CNC machines is highly working with ERP systems with a preference for Oracle Microsoft Office skills particularly: Excel and PowerPointSkills / CompetenciesProven ability to lead and develop high-performing engineering communication collaboration and stakeholder management in process development optimization and continuous improvement understanding of manufacturing systems validation practices and regulatory in root cause analysis risk management and CAPA data analysis and problem-solving skills; experience with statistical tools (e.g. T-test ANOVA) in MS Office Excel and engineering analysis tools (e.g. Minitab).Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) :New employees are eligible for the following benefits effective date of hire!Medical dental and vision benefitsCompany-paid life insurance and disability benefitsGenerous Paid time off and 10 paid Holidays401k Plan with Company MatchTuition ReimbursementVoluntary Universal Life and Long-Term CareVoluntary Legal PlanPet InsuranceHome Ownership ProgramWe offer market competitive compensation.
