Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |

Job |
|
To provide professional services and to undergo a two-year work base training program with the objective to develop the Resident to: |
|
1. | Be familiar with and understand the principles of medical Physics. |
2. | Be familiar with medical radiation dosimetry systems and measurement methods. |
3. | Understand the possible ways to minimize radiation hazard. |
4. | Be familiar with and understand the principles of engineering physics. |
5. | Be able to perform equipment procurement acceptance testing quality assurance maintenance and other aspects of equipment management. |

Entry Requirements |
|
A Master degree in Physics (General Medical Radiation Health or Applied Physics) or Engineering (Electronic Electrical Computer Microwave Biomedical Telecommunications or Medical Electronic Engineering) from a local university or equivalent. |

3. | The resident will be required to pass a written examination at the end of the first year before entering into his/her second year of elective training. At the end of the second year training the resident will be required to pass a viva examination. On satisfactory completion of the two-year training and examinations the resident may be considered for appointment as Physicist in Hospital Authority. |

4. 5. | Required to work irregular hours and perform on-call duties. Selected candidate will be posted in Queen Mary Hospital and may be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA. |
