Director, Development In vitro Metabolism

Labcorp is seeking a Director Development In vitro Metabolism to join our team in Madison WI!

Job Responsibilities:

The Director provides leadership to staff responsible for the scientific conduct of drug metabolism ensure thatannual financial quality scientific and client service targets are carry a 50% workload as Study Director within the Development In vitro Team.

• Ensures the scientific quality andexpertiseof the department.

• Consults with clients on drug discovery or development needs and designsappropriate drugmetabolism studies or programs.

• Collaborate with sales and marketing activities toensurefinancial and budget expectations are met.

• Develops and executes a strategic plan whichidentifiesthe areas in which the department will concentrate its scientific efforts capital and staff to meet business growthobjectivesacross global sites.

• Tactically assigns resources (personnel space equipment) implements programs and drives process improvement toassurefinancial and budget expectations are metacross global sites.

• Initiatesplansand implements staff development department capabilities and resources to meet both present and future needs.

• Implementsappropriate affirmativeaction salary administration and communication programs within the department.

• Identifiesopportunities for synergistic leverage across all chemistry service offerings.

• Creates an employee empowered work environment that is stimulating andrewarding yetdeals withdeficient performancein a decisive fashion.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master of Science degree with 10 or more years of experience as a Scientist Development Scientist Chemist Study Director or Director in the pharmaceutical industry

• 5 or more years of experience as a manager

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D.

• 8 or more years of experience as a Scientist Development Scientist Chemist Study Director or Director in the pharmaceutical industry

• 3 or more years of experience as a manager

• 3 or more years of experience as a Study Director

• 3 or more years of experience with Inhibition assays Induction assays Protein Binding Assays Transporter assays LCMS and Metabolic Stability

Pay Range: $150k - $180k annually (USD)

All job offers will bebased on a candidates skills and prior relevant experience applicabledegrees/certificationsas well as internal equity and market position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
