Position Overview
We are seeking a strong audit professional with public accounting experience to join a growing financial advisory firm in Monroe NY. This role is hands-on and execution-focused requiring strong understanding on how to run audits including workpapers analytics and testing.
This is a technical role for someone with strong audit experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute financial statement audits reviews and compilations
- Prepare and review audit workpapers with accuracy and organization
- Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures
- Analyze financial data and identify inconsistencies or risk areas
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and audit standards
- Collaborate with internal team members to move engagements forward efficiently
- Support additional accounting or project-based work during slower audit periods
Requirements
- Public accounting experience
Direct audit execution experience
- Experience preparing and working through audit workpapers
- Solid understanding of audit testing and analytics
- Knowledge of GAAP and standard audit procedures
Detail-oriented organized and able to manage multiple engagements
