Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I
Performs semi-skilled skilled and technical work in maintaining facilities grounds and assets of Gunnison County.
Maintenance Technician II
Performs semi-skilled skilled and technical work in maintaining facilities grounds and assets of Gunnison County and the County Housing Authority.
Pay Rate
Maintenance Technician I
Starting hourly range is from $25.64 to $36.27 depending on experience plus full benefits.
Maintenance Technician II
Starting hourly range is from $28.53 to $40.36 depending on experience plus full benefits.
*The County pays monthly on the last week day of the month.*

Maintenance Technician I
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Must have the ability to send and receive cellular data.
- Must monitor and respond to the work order system notifications.
- Must possess a valid Colorado drivers license.
Maintenance Technician II
- Must pass criminal background check.

- Must complete ICS 100 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.
Qualifications/Education
Maintenance Technician I
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of specialized training in a trade.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that the County deems appropriate.
Maintenance Technician II
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Five years of experience in directly related skills and abilities.
- Four years of specialized training in related trades.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that the County deems appropriate.
