Days of Work: Monday Friday

Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00 pm

Work Location: On-site (North Mankato MN)

Starting Salary: $72600 to $108900 Annually

Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective:

Drives improvement and corrective action in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers. Provides technical support in the selection of suppliers. Assist with monitoring supplier performance to drive supplier corrective action manufacturing yield issues and field failures. Responsible to comply with applicable corporate procedures.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support and lead supplier related quality projects to assist our Minnesota Lexington and Reynosa locations.

• Evaluate potential suppliers through on-site visits/audits.

• Improve supplier capabilities prior to product launch and develop suppliers post product launch including product audits.

• Support Engineering Change Management.

• Conduct supplier audits to confirm implemented Corrective Action plans quality systems overall operations and work with suppliers to minimize and/or eliminate quality/performance issues.

• Participate in continual improvement programs and activities to support the achievement of department KPIs.

• Evaluate and approve sources ensuring products meet technical and product safety compliance standards.

• Support Engineering Change Management.

• Work with suppliers on complaint management thru root cause corrective actions using tools such as 8D concession control plans and design reviews.

• Participate in continual improvement programs and activities to support the achievement of department KPIs.

• Support the need to track all supplier related costs associated with inferior quality and/or service; summarize these costs and work with suppliers to eliminate issues.

• Continue to update and revise the supplier evaluation system to meet quality requirements and qualify new suppliers.

• Guide the development of Quality Control Plans and PPAPs for new products and implement lean manufacturing and error proofing strategies with suppliers.

• Write and or revise operating procedures to comply with new and changed practice.

• Deliver innovation in quality control systems that provide increased customer satisfaction and are compatible with ERP system.

• Assist QA Manager with Plant and Department Quality performance metrics to measure report and act on Quality indicators.

• Adapt and abide by the 3Q6S principals.

• Occasional travel (up to 25%) to support supplier and customer needs.

Experience/Skills:

• 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing with a preference in supplier quality.

• Experience with electrical generation is a plus.

• Excellent leadership skills.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• ASQ certification is desired but not required.

• Spanish as a second language is beneficial.

• Competent in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel & Power Point.

• Ability to resolve problems and recognize opportunities with little direction.

• Able to work with minimal supervision.

• Must be a US citizen for positions in North Mankato facility.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in technical or science field.
