0Job Description Summary:
The Cardiac Sonographer (CS) performs all echocardiograms and maintains supplies/records relevant to the Echocardiography department in an outpatient scheduled and planned care environment. The primary role of the Cardiac Sonographer is to obtain diagnostic recordings of cardiac ultrasound images Stress Echos and Doppler hemodynamic data.Job Requirements Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
Job Specifications:
Education:
High School graduate required.
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited diagnostic medical Sonography and Cardiovascular Technician program and/or eligible for RDCS credential. Must be RDCS within one year of employment.
Experience:
Three years full-time experience in an equivalent position preferred.
License and Certifications:
BLS certification required at hire.
Credentialed as RDCS/RDMS or eligible. Must complete within one year of hire.
Prerequisite Skills:
Demonstrates skill with scanning and reporting transthoracic and stress echocardiography
Arrhythmia interpretation skills preferred.

Duties And Responsibilities:
Essential (Not Modifiable)
Performs:
Transthoracic echocardiograms: 2-Dimensional M-Mode and Doppler (PWCW Color Flow) Agitated saline study Contrast Pedoff
Exercise or pharmacological stress echo
Identifies pathophysiology and modifies exam appropriately.
Makes quantitative and qualitative assessment of echo and Doppler data.
Orders and stocks all supplies.
Operates PACS digital workstation i.e. reviews studies and generates preliminary reports.

The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Individual pay is set by skills experience qualifications and internal/market equity consistent with MarinHealths compensation philosophy.
