Summary

The candidate must be a high-energy self-starter who is well organized articulate proactive and exhibits leadership qualities. Customer service orientation is a must! Prior management experience as well as candidates holding the CCAM designation or CMCA/AMS designations.


The Assistant General Manager is responsible for partnering with the Boards of Directors to develop and implement the overall strategic plan for the operation of the Homeowner Association. The Assistant General Manager will assist their Board of Directors in determining and implementing the operational goals of each of their Association.


Qualified candidates will have a comprehensive knowledge of management practices accounting procedures personnel practices Association CC&Rs and Bylaws inventory and procurement contract relations association maintenance and safety practices.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this position successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with the help of the General Manager.   • Implement the Boards goals; monitor and report status of implemented goals to the Boards
  • Develop fiscal management policies and procedures that protect each assigned Associations assets help to maintain property values and keep spending within budgeted amounts. Review of financial reports
  • Oversee the bidding process for third party vendors
  • Monitor homeowner assessment delinquencies and oversee collection efforts
  • Prepare the annual budget by analyzing prior expenditures and assessing new expenditure needs.
  • Administer all legal issues as well as ensure Association policy and procedure adherence compliance with governing documents or corporate and civil code and state and federal obligations.
  • Maintain all communications with the Boards creating weekly/monthly Board reports and action item lists. Maintain past and current Association records and files relating to the operation and management of the Association
  • Prepare agendas and Board packages and attend all Board meetings including Executive Session and General Session meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in the industry managing homeowners associations city government or related experience
  • Strong analytical problem solving and creative thinking skills are a must
  • Customer service driven
  • Excellent effective and diplomatic verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of project management budget management and strategic goal development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint
  • CCAM designation and/or CMCA and AMS designations desirable

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent


Language Skills:

The candidate must have good written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.


License/Permits/Certifications Required:

Valid Drivers License and State mandated vehicle insurance.


Availability:

Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00 and must be available for committee meetings community events and after regular business hours as necessary.

Salary Description
$28.00 - $31.00 per hour
