Sandblaster 1st Class

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This positionis responsible forthe following: Other duties may be assigned.

1. Safelyoperateall machineryequipmentand tools essential to the performance of Sandblasters position.

1. Be able tosafelydirect blast of abrasive-laden compressed air or water against metal or hard-composition objects to remove adhering scale sand paint grease tarrustand dirt andto achieveproper/required surface profileasrequired

1. Be able toalwaysmaintainsafe control of blasting abletoutilize maintain and adjust safety controls pressure regulators and/or mixingvalveproperly and safely. Beable to correctly apply masking materials to protect designated areas fromdamage resulting fromtheabrasiveblastingprocess.

1. Performsdailyinspectionserviceandmaintainall assignedblasting equipment.

1. Perform daily inspection of all otherequipmentthat may be needed tosafely access andaccomplishsandblastingworkassignment- Fall harness manlift scaffoldingPPE etc.

1. Be able to read and understand all safety precautions and environmental requirements.

1. Be able to pass a fit test for respirator equipment.

Required Education & Experience:

1. High School Diploma One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions:

1. Open-air conditions such as noisy hot cold etc.

1. You mustwear hearing eyefacial handand head protection and proper PPE.

1. Some climbing (100 feet) and lifting (50 lbs.) involved.

1. Workinginhot and sometimes hazardousconditions.

1. Aboard ships both on and offshore and in confined spaces.

1. Some travelisrequired.
