What youll be doing
TheOperations Specialistrole isresponsible forensuringaccurate timely and efficient processingof wire transfer requestandexception handling ofwiresfailing validationsincluding but not limited toAccount Posting errorsDuplicatewiresInsufficient fundsRouting Repairsand Systemor business function holdswhile upholding compliance with internal controls and procedures. The role uses judgementregardingpriorities and approaches to obtain complete andaccurateinformationtoimprovetheir understanding of the issueand resolvethe exceptionaccurately andtimely. The rolerequiresstrong technical and system knowledge to analyze data to ensure quality assurancetomaintaincustomer addition the roleprovides supportofday-to-day operationswhich may require extended hours duringsystemdisruptions orspecial project implementations.

How youll succeed
This position will support Wires OperationsExceptions Manager
Willwork closely with the Wire Production Wire ServicesteamsandotherLines ofBusinesslike:FraudSanctions and Treasury Management Teams.
Monitorand clearexception queues.
Communicatewith Bankers Relationship Managers and other Bank Officers to obtainappropriate approvalstoresolve (process or cancel)exceptionsin accordance withprocedures.
Additionalresponsibilities may include providing support to wire production for the processing of manual wire transferscontributetoBusinessContinuityactivities.
Work closely with Internal Audit and other compliance focused teamswhenrequired

Who you are
Youpossessat least2-5years ofbanking and/or Electronic Payment (Wire or SWIFT)Processing experience.
You haveknowledge of FIS coreorFedLineAdvantageis a plus but not required.
You have a preferred collegedegree butnotrequired.
You show strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
You pay strong attention to detail.
You must be proficient with Excel having the ability to gather statistics process into spreadsheets computeformulasand format into presentable documents for bank executives.
You have the ability to learn new computer applications and systems quickly.
You will have the ability toget through large volumes of wireexceptionsin a timely manner.
Youhave the ability to support extended processing hourswith short notice.
At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $61500 - $64000K for the Chicago IL market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
