The EHS Manager will provide leadership mentoring and direction to hourly salaried and management personnel engaged in Environmental Health and/or Safety (EHS) activities related to a small to medium facility.

What You Will Do:
Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organizations operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility division or enterprise objectives.
Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards government regulations and adequacy relative to local conditions.
Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.

What You Will Need:

• Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainability strategy; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model.
• Risk Management: Knowledge of processes tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organizations exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
• Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Overcoming Resistance to Change: Understanding and insight into the futility of refusing to accept the inevitable and ability to overcome resistance and adapt to a complex and changing environment.
• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.

• The primary location for this position is Victoria TX
• This role requires 5 days a week in office
• Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
