Responsibilities:

The Director of Nursing is responsible to plan organize develop and direct the overall functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal state and local standards governing long-term care facilities and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to the residents at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be an active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be knowledgeable of general rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Previous experience in an Assisted Living facility strongly preferred
• Must be knowledgeable of general rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws regulations and guidelines governing long-term care

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensure:Active unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience:13 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Previous experience in assisted living geriatric care or home health is highly desirable.
• Knowledge:Comprehensive knowledge of assisted living regulations compliance standards and safety best practices.
• Skills:Exceptional leadership communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in EHR (electronic health records) systems and Microsoft Office is also required.
