BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for the safety education and recreation programming for a variety of dance classes.
Seasonal Position (8 weeksession).Average 18-33 hours a week 5 days per week 3.5-6.5 hours per day
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Attendall pre-season in servicetraining sessions and staff meetings.
Responsible for the safety education and recreation programming for the campparticipantas assigned.
Assistwithend of dayduties as assigned by the Dance & Arts Camp/CampReMixCoordinator.
Implementprojectsanddemonstrate choreography as directed by Camp .
Supervise and lead group activity sessionsin both dance and art.
Communicate matters of importance with theprogCoordinator.
Submit routine paperwork such as Incident Reports as they come due.
Enforce camp rulesand district behavior management policy.
Work cooperatively as a team member with other program staff members.
Evaluatesparticipantsprogress and performance on a continual basis for the purpose ofimmediatelyhelping theparticipantto improve their dance skills and confidence.
Ensuresafetyof all staff and participants.
Responsible forexecutingemergency responseplanandrespondto emergency situations as they occur.
Any other related duties assigned byDirector and/orCamp Coordinatoror Recreation Supervisor.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or in progress
Experience: Must be 16 years of age or over in-depth experience in dance
Previousexperience working with ages experiencepreferred.
Must have cleared an Illinois State Police Criminal background check.
Certifications: CPR and First Aid CertificationClasses available through Park District
