Our challenge

We are looking for QA Engineers with strong backend and automation testing experience to support quality assurance across investment platforms. The role will focus on validating data pipelines APIs and backend systems critical to portfolio management and reporting.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other accordance with law the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto ON is CAD $100k CAD $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automated test suites for backend services and APIs.
• Perform integration and system testing across data and application layers.
• Validate data integrity across upstream and downstream systems.
• Collaborate with developers BAs and product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous testing practices.
• Identify log and track defects through resolution.
• Support UAT cycles and release validation.

Requirements:

• 48 years of QA/Automation experience.
• Strong experience in backend/API testing.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g. Rest-Assured Selenium or similar).
• Proficiency in Java or Python for test automation.
• Experience with data validation and SQL.
• Understanding of system integration and data flows.
• Experience working in Agile environments (JIRA Confluence).

Preferred but not required:

• Knowledge of frontend automation (Playwright Selenium) is a plus.
• Experience in Asset Management / Capital Markets.
• Exposure to financial data portfolio systems or reporting platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
