As a Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 you will work in an in-person Patient facing position that supports the efforts of our Retail Clinic Pharmacy. You will obtain new prescriptions and prescription refill information. You will also perform a variety of activities to support administrative operational and customer needs.
You will anticipate being on your feet handle multiple tasks to fulfill a medication and answer patients questions in person and over the phone.

The Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 will report to a Pharmacist Lead. Responsibilities include:

• Retrieve count and measures drugs.
• Assist Pharmacist with price-checking and restocking of drugs.
• Access input and retrieve prescription information from computer.
• Refer physicians calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.
• Operate a cash register.
• Decisions typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
• Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards.
• Follow standard policies and refer to resources to support assignments.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of South Carolina
• New Pharmacy Technician graduates invited to apply.
• Basic working knowledge using MS Office including Outlook and ability to learn and use variety of platforms such as SharePoint Teams etc.
• Must have a drivers license with reliable transportation to transport office locations.
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humanas Tuberculosis (TB) screening program and will require a TB screening.
• Must be willing to meet for an in-person interview with leader(s)

In this role you will also be required to:

• Stand for extended periods
• Frequently walk
• Bend and reach with hands and arms
• Lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of Pharmacy Technician experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Certified Immunizer

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills knowledge experience education certifications etc.

$40000 - $52300 per year
