Job Summary
Bullis School seeks an experienced energetic and effective leader to serve as its next Director of Human Resources. A member of the Schools Senior Leadership Team the Director of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for leading and overseeing all human resources functions and providing strategic guidance and operational support to Bullis leadership on a broad range of HR initiatives.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations and overseeing workplace compliance through the management of employee relations matters such as workplace investigations policy development and interpretation performance management medical accommodations leave administration (including FMLA disability and ADA) benefits administration and other initiatives that support a positive employee experience.
he Director of HR provides supervision to the HR Generalist and collaborates closely with the Dean of Faculty to develop facilitate and implement all phases of the recruitment process for instructional faculty. The Director also oversees employee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure compliance with all federal state and local employment requirements.
This is a 12-month administrative position reporting to the Head of School with an anticipated start date of May of 2026.

Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management Business Administration or related fields or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five to seven years of relevant human resources experience
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Google Workspace and related software applications
Preferred:
- Masters in Human Resources Management Business Administration Organizational Development or related field
- SHRM-CP/SCP
Compensation and benefits are competitive with an anticipated salary range of $130000 to $155000.
