We are seeking an Athletics Coordinator at our Toorak Campus.
About the Role
The Athletics Coordinator has the following key responsibilities:
- Design and implement an accessible athletics programme focussed on the development of functional movement and strength and conditioning for our Primary Students (P-2 and 3-6)
- Source manage train induct and schedule casual athletics coaches and teachers as required for the programme
- Prepare and facilitate student participation in SSV and APS athletics competitions
- Promote the Toorak Athletics Programme through regular contributions to community publications and assembly programmes
About you
The Athletics Coordinator must possess the following key skills and attributes;
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with children families and staff
- Experience supporting young athletes with strength and conditioning and injury rehabilitation
- Experience designing or working within a school-based athletics programmes.
- Proven ability to manage a team of coaches
Time Commitment
This is a part-time role (13.5 hours per week) over 38 working weeks. Anticipated hours are Tuesday 9:30am - 4:45pm (1/2-hour lunch) Thursday 9:30am - 4:45pm (1/2-hour lunch)
Other:
- Attend external SSV and APS carnival days with students
- Attend the GGS Athletics Day
There may be scope to expand the programme.
