Position: Manager Central Processing Operations
Department: Central Processing
Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours Rotating
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Operations Director of Sterile Processing the Central Processing Manager maintains 24-hour operational responsibility for assessing planning implementing and evaluating all clinical and management activities of the Central Processing Department. This role provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goals with a focus on customer relationship management for owned clinics and affiliated community health centers (CHCs). The Manager collaborates with area leaders to assess and respond to customer servicing needs across the network and serves as cross-coverage support for departmental leadership as operationally required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Associates Degree or higher required bachelors degree preferred.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Must have or obtain within 180 days of hire a certification as a Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) by the International Association for Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
Certification as a Certified in Healthcare Leadership (CHL) supervisor/ manager is a plus. Certifications need to be maintained by obtaining the required CEUs each year through the certifying agency.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 5 years of current experience working in a Central Processing Sterilization or Operating Room environment.
Progressive leadership experience in Sterile Processing required; examples include but are not limited to Supervisor Educator Assistant Manager OR Liaison etc.
Previous Experience at a Level 1 Adult Trauma Hospital Preferred
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Thorough knowledge of decontamination and sterilization and high level disinfection techniques and procedures infection control and work flow principles and requirements and equipment and supply inventory protocols.
Complete knowledge of clinical operations hospital mission and goals and human resources policies and procedures.
Advanced English oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills including ability to multi-task delegate appropriately and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide direction and development to employees by coaching identifying training needs assigning progressively challenging projects and assisting in career development planning.
Ability to analyze and solve problems in a systematic logical and timely manner.
Ability to adapt to changes in daily routine.
Develops personal knowledge of unit-specific technology platforms (Cencitrac Kronos One Source Torq).
Basic computer proficiency inclusive of ability to enter and access data/information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and web browsers.
Compensation Range:
$66000.00- $96000.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
