The Director of Graduate Admissions will report to the Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions. The Director of Graduate Admissions is primarily responsible for creating and implementing recruiting and admissions plans for the Master of Science programs. This individual will be forward-thinking collaborative motivated and goal-oriented with an attention to detail as well as the ability to understand and achieve the broader strategic role executes other related duties as assigned and is expected to promote an environment that fosters inclusive relationships and creates unbiased opportunities for contributions through ideas words and actions that uphold principles of the USC Code of Ethics.

Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee recruiting admissions and conversion plans for six Master of Science programs with the goal of attracting and retaining talented students to USC
  • Play an integral role in developing enrollment targets and meeting goals
  • Review applications for the MS programs as well as administer final decisions
  • Supervise a team of admissions counselors and provide continual guidance on best practices
  • Develop and maintain a standard operating guide for admissions and recruiting
  • Work with marketing team on outreach activities and generating awareness of MS programs
  • Maintain network of contacts with organizations such as sponsoring agencies and peer institutions
  • Work with faculty members alumni and students on engagement and communication with applicants and admitted students
  • Collaborate with other USC and Marshall School departments/units regularly to remain apprised of important updates and developments
  • Host information sessions panel discussions and other outreach events
  • Regularly provide insights to leadership team on trends in MBA admissions feedback from students and alums survey data and other benchmarking
  • Utilize relevant data to inform admissions outreach scholarship decisions
  • Provide timely reports to administration related to admissions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of demonstrated experience and background in an admissions-related role
  • Excellent written interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience in usage of CRM systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced service-oriented operation.

Anticipated Hiring Range:

The annual base salary range for this position is $81329.53 - $114507.24. When extending an offer of employment the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity federal state and local laws contractual stipulations grant funding as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Minimum Education: Bachelors degree
Minimum Experience: 3 years
Minimum Skills: Lead or supervisory recruitment and admissions experience with knowledge of financial aid experience in university recruitment and admissions.
Preferred Education: Masters degree
