Job Description Summary:
Themanufacturingsite in Battle Ground WA designs and manufactures innovative digital gauges and infotainment displays for Polaris products Trail Tech productsandOEM customers. ThePlantPlanneris responsibleforplanning/scheduling materials and capacity tomaintainon-time delivery of productionattaininginventory turnobjectives andmaintainingaccurateinventory. This positionis responsible forplanning and inventory accuracy of their assigned parts from the start of the planning process to the final assembly process of product lines spanning low-volume/high-mix products to dedicated high volume production lines.
Primary Responsibilities
Count andmaintainassigned parts as necessary toattainproduction schedules andidentifyroot cause issues
Communicate delays shortages problems issues relating to shipments and/or inventory levels of purchased items to ProductionPurchasing and Logistics.Assistin devising and carrying out plans to resolve effectively and with minimum cost
Work with Purchasing and Logistics as needed toexpeditedeliveries resulting from inventory variances rejections or late deliveries
Analyze inventory for opportunity to improve turns andidentifyexcess
Upload data as necessary to achieve production sequencing
Coordinate shipments and scheduling between Polaris manufacturing sites
Maintaininventory planning records withappropriate parametersand order policies to ensure effective Material system execution
MaintainKanban material delivery system
Perform receiving transactions andinbound material check in
Maintain PFEP (PlanForEveryPart)and Material System Map
Assistand back up thePlantScheduler with planningmaintainingand communicatingmanufacturing orders for production
Assistand back up thePlantSchedulerbycreating andmaintainingschedules (kits service parts open production work orders etc.)
Requestmaterialexpediteswithpurchasing asfrom suppliers resulting from inventory variances rejections or late deliveries
Key nonconforming material and take necessary recovery action and request debit memos for supplier returns
Plan and confirm material availability for service and rework
Resolve/Review receiving issues (ie. Over/short labeling keying errors etc.) with Receiving personnel atappropriate manufacturingsite
Coordinate the disposition of excess and obsolete inventory
Identifyand implement procedures toensuresmooth production operations and inventory accuracy
Involved in decisions related to outsourcing of parts due to scheduling constraints
Coordinate deliveries with suppliers for outsourced parts
Drive continuous improvement to material flow processesaligned with LEAN principles
Participate in activities to promote 5S adherence at the site

Skills & Knowledge
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsandBill of Materials
Must have current PC/softwareproficiencyincluding Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Access & Outlook)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and be efficient with multiple tasks
Strong quickdecision-makingskills
Organized and strong attention to detail
Ability to synthesizelargeamountsof data quickly and stay calm under pressure
Preferred:
1-3 yearspreviousplanning/inventory control experience
Two or four yearcollege degree
Working knowledge of applicable MAPICS modules
The starting pay range for Washington is $25.00 to $29.00 per hour plus eligibility for pay and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
To qualify for this position former employees must be eligible for rehire and current employees must be in good standing.
