DevOps Engineer (VMware, Networking & Security)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled System/DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in VMware virtualization hardware infrastructure networking VPN security access and DevOps practices. The candidate will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure ensuring security compliance and supporting automation and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain VMware environments (ESXi vCenter HA DRS vMotion)
• Handle server hardware storage systems and infrastructure support
• Configure and manage networking (LAN/WAN switches routers VLANs)
• Implement and maintain VPN solutions (IPSec SSL VPN)
• Manage firewalls security access controls IAM and endpoint security
• Monitor systems and ensure high availability backup and disaster recovery
• Design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform Ansible or scripting (Shell/Python)
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization (preferred)
• Collaborate with development teams for deployment and release management
• Troubleshoot system network and application issues

Required Skills:

Virtualization & Hardware:

• Strong experience in VMware (ESXi vCenter)
• Hands-on experience with physical servers storage (SAN/NAS)

Networking:

• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP DNS DHCP VLANs routing & switching
• Experience with firewalls and network security tools

VPN & Security:

• Hands-on experience with VPN setup (IPSec SSL VPN)
• Knowledge of access control IAM and cybersecurity best practices

DevOps:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins Git GitLab Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Experience in Docker & Kubernetes (preferred)
• Scripting skills (Bash Shell Python)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as VMware (VCP) CCNA AWS/Azure DevOps
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus Grafana Nagios)

Work Location: Chennai (Work from Office)
