Maintenance Manager

Job Description:

As the 1st shift Maintenance Manager you will be assisting in the structure and execution of proactive maintenance strategy. You will utilize your deep understanding of maintenance functions and key metrics interactions with different systems cross functional collaboration within the maintenance organization and operations in totality to solve complex technical challenges.

As the process owner responsible for spare parts plan for our critical assets and process maintenance PM completion you will need to maintain deep relationships with indirect purchasing 3rd part maintenance provider and operations leadership team to ensure your success. You will be responsible for improving machinery uptime by ensuring the right spare parts inventory is maintained accurate and organized and PMs are completed on time.

Responsibilities:

• Inventory Control:Maintain optimal stock levels conduct physical inventory counts and minimize obsolescence through tracking. Ensure parts are stored in a way that prevents premature degradation
• Procurement & Logistics:Purchase parts manage vendor relationships and coordinate shipments to ensure the right part is available at the right time.
• Forecasting:Analyze usage data and internal/external failure trends to forecast demand for parts while also have a clear understanding of the facilities preventative maintenance plans to maintain ample supplies for scheduled maintenance activities.
• Collaboration: Scheduling machines for PMs to ensure it is completed on time without affecting production demand.
• Reports: Prepare reports on inventory status and other key metrics
• Customer Support:Collaborate with maintenance repair and operations teams for parts requirements.

Skills you must have:

• Problem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan organize monitor and control projects ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
• Performance Management: Working knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organizations performance management system practices and tools to developing and improving individual team and organizational performance.
• Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Knowledge of total productive maintenance principles methods and processes; ability to maximize machinery effectiveness through active involvement of all supporting departments.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Planning and Organizing: Working knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
• Effective Communications: Working understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Working understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Top candidates will also have:

• Demonstrated achievement in manufacturing engineering facilities engineering and/or maintenance roles with a strong understanding of core maintenance functions
• Procurement Supply chain experiences supporting a field or maintenance organization
• Experience as a direct/indirect leader
• Education: Bachelors degree in an Engineering curriculum or equivalent experience in maintenance operations
