We are seeking a dedicated Lead Cook/Sous Chef to join our culinary team and help manage our kitchen operations alongside our F&B Manager. We are a premier semi-private golf and country club offering our members and guests exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere. From daily member dining to banquets tournaments and special events our culinary team takes pride in delivering superior experience.
Position Overview
The Lead Cook/Sous Chef will work in a hands-on team environment to ensure that all food preparation production and service meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role works closely with the F&B Manager to supervise kitchen staff coordinate occasional banquets and maintain consistency across all dining outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the main kitchen and banquet facilities.
- Supervise and train cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and teamwork.
- Oversee food preparation and execution for member dining banquets tournaments and special events.
- Maintain high culinary standards for taste presentation and portion control.
- Assist with menu development and event-specific menus.
- Help monitor inventory and assist with ordering.
- Ensure compliance with health safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Act as a Kitchen lead/ Supervisory role in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of culinary experience preferably in a club or hospitality setting.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is a plus
- Strong knowledge of banquet production.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure particularly during high-volume service.
- Culinary degree or formal training preferred but not required.
- Passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to member satisfaction.
