Position Overview

FSS Technologies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Service Technician to service troubleshoot and maintain commercial fire alarm and electronic security systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge professionalism in customer environments and a commitment to code compliance and safety standards.

This is a field-based position with daily travel to customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Service troubleshoot and repair fire alarm intrusion access control and CCTV systems.
• Diagnose system issues and implement corrective actions efficiently.
• Perform inspections preventative maintenance and system testing in accordance with NFPA and manufacturer standards.
• Program and configure system components as required.
• Accurately complete service tickets reports and required documentation.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts tools and equipment.
• Ensure company vehicle and equipment are kept clean and in professional condition.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding system status and recommendations.
• Follow all OSHA NEC NFPA and company safety requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• 3 years of commercial low-voltage service experience.
• Experience servicing:
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Intrusion systems
  • Access control systems
  • CCTV systems
• Ability to read blueprints wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Comfortable working in various environments including client sites and on ladders.

• Must be able to work at heights.

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

• Pay range for this role is between $20 - $40 per hour based on experience and knowledge.
