About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to join a well-established commercial electrical contractor in Chicago. This role is ideal for a driven professional who thrives in a client-facing environment and has a proven track record of estimating selling and successfully managing commercial electrical projects.
The ideal candidate has managed commercial electrical projects exceeding $1M and understands how to drive work from bid through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial electrical projects
Review drawings specifications and bid documents to determine project scope
Develop proposals and actively participate in selling and securing projects
Manage projects from pre-construction through completion
Oversee budgets schedules subcontractors and field teams
Build and maintain strong client and vendor relationships
Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and to quality standards
Qualifications
6 years of experience in commercial electrical construction
Demonstrated experience estimating selling and managing projects
Experience handling commercial electrical projects $1M
Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems codes and best practices
Proven ability to manage budgets and job costs
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $100000 $140000 depending on experience
