Lower School Associate Teacher Preschool Program (Ages 3–4)

Trevor Day School seeks full-time Associate Teachers for its Preschool Program (ages 34) for the school year. Associate Teachers support Head Teachers in all aspects of classroom life and collaborate closely to advance Trevors mission educational philosophy and instructional this role Associate Teachers develop their pedagogy and professional skills through mentorship with Head Teachers collaboration with a cohort of peers and guidance from school leadership. They also participate in ongoing professional development and targeted experiences designed to prepare them for future Head Teacher roles.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children at the preschool and/or elementary level.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; enrollment in or completion of a masters degree program preferred.

Job responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the head teacher to teach core subjects.

• Help assess student progress and maintain records; assist in the writing of reports and updating of class webpages; attend family conferences.

• Participate in weekly meetings and in professional development sessions.

• Fulfill Trevor community responsibilities.

The full-time salary range for this position is $55000-$65000 as per the schools salary scale. When extending an offer for employment Trevor Day School bases the salary upon several factors that include (but are not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education training key skills and peer salary equity.
