An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our College community on a part-time (FTE 0.75) ongoing basis.
This role is responsible for teaching Art across years Prep to Year 5 within a collaborative and progressive learning environment. You will deliver engaging developmentally appropriate visual arts programs that inspire creativity and support students artistic growth across the primary years.
You will enjoy access to state-of-the-art teaching facilities the opportunity to work within a supportive Junior School team and a professional environment that values innovation creativity and collegiality.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Education and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Current knowledge of the Australian Primary Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) in relation to teaching Art
- Previous experience teaching Art in a Primary Independent School setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and the innovative use of ICT to enrich learning
- Well-developed classroom management strategies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Be an active contributor to a collegial and professional work environment
- Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College
