The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a DevSecOps Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to join our Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) software team in Hazelwood MO. This position in the Boeing Global Services (BGS) organization will primarily support Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance programs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation and solid understanding of DevOps principles cloud computing automation practices and security integration with a passion for technology and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will be a key driver in shaping the future of our software deliveries by creating and maintaining architecture development and maintenance of automated secure and scalable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure that empower our product development teams. A successful candidate will be an experienced technical expert pragmatic problem-solver and advocate for a robust scalable and secure engineering culture. As part of the team you will oversee and execute a wide range of complex tasks leveraging cutting-edge software technologies to deliver solutions to our customers and stakeholders.
In GVHMS we develop software that enables maintainers to keep military aircraft mission-ready and safe. As a software engineer on our team you will create solutions that monitor and predict the health of aircraft throughout their lifecycle. Your solutions will be used to enable smarter maintenance decisions automate processes and reduce costs. You will also have the opportunity to develop with emerging technologies such as AI to advance our software capabilities and drive the future of predictive maintenance.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced or Senior Engineers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops documents and maintains standardized efficient and innovative processes tools methodologies and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle and enable continuous integration delivery and deployment of safety critical software
Automates develops monitors improves and troubleshoots across software engineering development tooling testing integration deployment configuration processes and security controls
Analyzes plans and executes mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks threats and vulnerabilities
Implements an environment that enables high levels of quality safety compliance and continuous improvement across the organization
Supports collaboration with cross functional teams to build and maintain robust scalable and secure software engineering systems
Implements current and emerging technologies tools frameworks and regulations in the software engineering DevSecOps environment
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors Degree
Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret (Interim Pre-Start) which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
5 years of experience with CI/CD and configuration management with release processes
2 years of experience developing and managing metrics
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 4: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science and 9 years of related work experience OR Bachelors Degree and 13 years of directly related work experience OR 17 years of related relevant experience
Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
2 years of experience working with agile teams and agile software development
Cloud Service Provider Official Certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solution Architect etc.)
Secret Security Clearance - Final Post Start & Special Program Access
Experience in government or military programs and regulatory/compliance standard familiarity

Summary Pay Range Experienced (Level 3): $112200 - $151800
Summary Pay Range Senior (Level 4): $136850 - $185150
