The Multi-Domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) group within the Mission Critical Products organization is hiring an Senior Systems Engineer to join our Maritime PNT organization in support of the Global Positioning System (GPS)-Based Positioning Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) program. The Maritime PNT organization is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our US Navy customer.

What You Will Do
Review and analyze the system level requirements to perform the following tasks:
Develop verifiable system level requirements
Develop/execute test plans verification and or acceptance test procedures development of scripts (preferably Python) as well as utilization/configuration of test equipment and tools such as GPS simulators to verify system requirements and prove compliance
Manage updates and timely release of CDRLs/SDRLs contributing to improvement in documentation cycle time and customer satisfaction
Contribute to technical interchange meetings and design reviews (TRR PDR CDR)
Provide verbal and written status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks

Qualifications You Must Have
Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience in Agile development and usage of Agile framework tools such as JIRA/Confluence
Proficient in DOORS NG
Working knowledge of SE fundamentals with ability to work with all engineering disciplines and program management
Familiarity with EVMS ETCs and ECPs
Ability to visualize system functionality to create block diagrams and to analyze system performance via analysis of customer requirements specification
Working knowledge of industry standards such as MIL-STD-810 MIL-STD-461 MIL-STD-704 for airworthiness ARINC and RTCA standards are preferred
Experience in System Software and hardware Requirements management/traceability/allocation
Experience in RF signal processing
Experience with commercial test equipment (e.g. DMM Oscilloscope Signal Generator Spectrum Analyzer Logic Analyzer
Experience working in a Development System Test and Sell-off involving Hardware/Software
Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer
Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following technical domains: RF/IR signal processing electronics navigation (GPS or Inertial) modeling and simulation (for example 6-DOF) aerodynamics missile related mechanical engineering (flight control systems warheads missile structures seeker gimbals RF/IR seeker sub-systems)
Understanding of guidance and navigation systems and relevant experience with GPS Receiver system design integration test verification and validation
Experience with Test Equipment/Tools Technical Reviews and Production Readiness
Familiarity in sub system or systems architecting and system-of-systems definition
Familiarity with MOSA/SOSA/VITA/FACE standards
Must be able to write clear engineering documentation

The salary range for this role is 95500 USD - 181700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
