About the Role

As the PCADS Team Leader you will provide local leadership and oversight of program delivery in the Pilbara/Kimberley region. Reporting to the Justice and Community Manager and working within the direction of the Regional Manager you will guide a multidisciplinary team delivering alcohol and other drug (AOD) and mental health support.

You will lead a team that may include Counsellor Educators Diversion Officers and Peer/Lived Experience Workers ensuring services are delivered safely effectively and in line with funding agreements and organisational standards. The role combines team leadership stakeholder engagement service delivery and data oversight while ensuring high standards of clinical and program practice.

  • Based in Hedland and involves travel within the Pilbara/Kimberley region as required
  • Full-time (38 hours per week MondayFriday)

Key Responsibilities

As the PCADS Team Leader you will:

Service Delivery

  • Deliver high-quality services for people experiencing co-occurring AOD and mental health challenges
  • Support prevention initiatives across the Pilbara/Kimberley in collaboration with prevention staff
  • Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based AOD interventions including responses to methamphetamine use
  • Hold a small client caseload if required

Team Leadership

  • Provide line management supervision and performance oversight to Counsellor Educators Diversion Officers and Peer Workers
  • Foster a supportive accountable and culturally secure team culture
  • Support reflective practice through case reviews supervision and professional development

Reporting and Administration

  • Maintain accurate client records and data systems
  • Oversee monthly KPI reporting and data quality
  • Contribute to six-monthly funder reports and program reporting requirements
  • Ensure data collection meets organisational and funding requirements

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with health justice employment and community services
  • Represent HOPE within the local service network
  • Support community education outreach and recovery initiatives

Quality Safety and Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies
  • Participate in quality assurance audits and program evaluation
  • Monitor risks and support continuous improvement in service delivery

What Youll Need

Essential

  • A tertiary qualification in psychology management health behavioural or social sciences youth work mental health nursing or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience in the Alcohol and Other Drug and/or Mental Health sector
  • Understanding of co-occurring AOD and mental health needs
  • Experience in case management and client record systems
  • Knowledge of harm reduction diversion and prevention approaches
  • Experience working with mandated clients
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions addressing methamphetamine use
  • Strong communication administrative and computer skills
  • The ability to build effective relationships with clients staff and stakeholders
  • Commitment to culturally secure practice and HOPEs mission and values
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by regional communities
