Job Summary

About the Opportunity:

Millennium EMS Solutions (MEMS) is seeking a nationally focused visionary leader to serve as our Director Brownfield Assessment & Development (BAD). This is a senior enterpriseâlevel role accountable for national strategy market expansion technical excellence riskâbased decisionâmaking and service integration under a regional frameworkwhile upholding our OneâCompany approach. The Director will grow MEMS Brownfield practice across Canada and ensure credible defensible and deliveryâfocused outcomes that advance community redevelopmentincluding partnerships with First Nations clients and organizations.

Please note this position can be based out of any of our Western Canada office locations (Fort St. John Calgary Sherwood Park Grande Prairie or Saskatoon.)

What Youll Lead

1) National Strategy within a Regional Framework (OneâCompany)

  • Develop and execute a national BAD strategy that operates through a regional management structure and aligns to MEMS corporate plan and growth priorities.
  • Standardize service positioning and delivery across regions to ensure one integrated MEMS for clients and partners.
  • Provide executive insight on emerging markets regulatory trends and redevelopment opportunities to guide enterprise planning and investment.

2) Senior Client & Market Engagement

  • Build and maintain executiveâlevel relationships across public private and First Nationsâled brownfield redevelopment markets.
  • Partner with the Director Business Development & Strategic Growth on national pursuits proposals and sector positioning; represent MEMS as a trusted technical advisor with clients regulators and industry bodies.

3) Service Excellence Technical Leadership & RiskâBased Differentiation

  • Champion project governance safety quality and defensibility across the BAD portfolio.
  • Provide handsâon technical leadership with a strong riskâassessment orientation (riskâbased approaches that drive market differentiation in brownfield assessment remediation and redevelopment decisionâmaking).
  • Promote innovation and pragmatic adoption of tools methods and delivery approaches that improve outcomes and repeatability.

4) Financial & Operational Leadership (Enterprise Collaboration)

  • Lead the BAD Service Group P&L (revenue margin backlog utilization) and partner with Finance on budgeting forecasting and workload planning.
  • Work in close collaboration with other Service Groups and the BAD regional management structure to optimize capacity pursue integrated opportunities and ensure disciplined scalable growth.
  • Make dataâinformed investment recommendations (people systems capabilities) to support national objectives.

5) People Leadership & Talent Development (OneâCompany Culture)

  • Mentor and grow a highâperforming national team of project managers technical specialists and regional leadersreinforcing OneâCompany behaviors shared standards and crossâregional collaboration.
  • Build succession plans and strategic technical capacity aligned with future opportunities; uphold a culture of Safety Integrity Quality Service Teamwork and Accountability.

What You Bring

  • 10 years progressive consulting experience in environmental/brownfield redevelopment with proven success in technical leadership riskâbased assessment client strategy and team development.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and execute national service strategy within a regional framework balancing consistency local context and enterprise goals.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian environmental legislation and redevelopment frameworks; ability to translate regulatory and risk insights into defensible practical solutions.
  • Track record of P&L stewardship forecasting and portfolio health (revenue margin backlog utilization).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence skills; trusted advisor with executives partners regulators and First Nations clients.
  • Enterprise mindset: aligns practice decisions to corporate objectives collaborates across service groups and models OneâCompany leadership.

Success Measures (Year 12)

  • Strategy & Growth: National BAD strategy approved and operationalized across regions; measurable growth in prioritized markets.
  • Service Excellence: Portfolio safety schedule scope budget and quality metrics trending positive; increased project defensibility and client satisfaction.
  • RiskâBased Differentiation: Clear technical standards and riskâassessment practices embedded; visible winâthemes in pursuits.
  • Financial Health: Revenue margin utilization and backlog within plan; forecast accuracy and workload balance improved.
  • People & Culture: Strong leadership bench and succession; crossâregional collaboration evidence; staff engagement on MEMS values.

Pay Transparency:

In compliance with pay transparency laws pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education qualifications experience and work location. At MEMS certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Pay Range: $158000 - $170000
