As an Occupational Therapist at Aaron School youll support students in building the skills they need to succeed academically and in daily life. You will provide individualized and group services that promote independence self-regulation and confidence in a supportive student-centered environment.
This is a part-time 10-month position requiring an on-site presence two days per week. The role also includes participation in the Extended School Year program with services continuing through the summer months.
What Youll Need
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and active NYS certification
Experience working with students with learning differences sensory needs or social-emotional challenges
Ability to manage a caseload and balance individual and group services effectively
Strong communication skills with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
Flexible and organized with the ability to adapt to a dynamic school environment
What Youll Do
Provide occupational therapy services through individual and group sessions based on student needs
Conduct information assessments and share insights with team members and families
Collaborate with teachers and clinicians to support student goals and classroom success
Develop and document therapeutic goals progress reports and required student records
Support students with adaptive equipment life skills and self-regulation strategies
