Job Title: High School Mathematics Teacher - Long Term Substitute
Position Available: 2026-2027 School Year
Compensation: Per Perry Classroom Teachers Association negotiated agreement

Job Summary
The Perry Local Schools desires to employ a math teacher in grades 7-12 with a qualified Ohio teaching license. The successful candidate will plan and provide daily math instruction to meet the differentiated needs of todays learners. The candidate will find weekly support with the math department (PLC) in order to continually improve instruction and assessment and meet student learning needs. The successful candidate will possess strong relationship skills develop a standards-based learning culture and be able to implement research-based instructional strategies with a deep understanding of Ohio Learning Standards and Formative Instructional Practices.

Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Valid certification/licensure required for working with high school students which includes certification and/or licensure in:

• High School 7-12 ï½ Mathematics
• Adolescent to Young Adult 7-12 ï½ Mathematics/Integrated Mathematics

The successful candidate will be an advocate for student-centered learning facilitate authentic problems that bridge content to real-world work implement formative assessment practices differentiate instruction and use technology to solve learning issues.
