Job responsibilities

• Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
• Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
• Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design
• Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Serves as the functions go-to subject matter expert
• Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
• Creates durable reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10 years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
• Extensive experience in enterprise programming with a strong understanding of technology and development principles.
• Proficiencyin modern cloud platforms particularly AWS with experience in designing and managing scalable high volume and high throughput cloud-based solutions.
• Deep expertise designing and governing REST/GraphQL/gRPC APIs and event-driven architectures at enterprise scale.
• Proficiency with Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms and robust messaging patterns with DLQs and idempotency.
• Proficient in using AI tooling and coding copilots (e.g. Copilot Claude Code) to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
• Experience in DevSecOps practices using modern CI and CD tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to collaborate deeply with developers and platform engineers to deliver pragmatic solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learningGenerativeAIetc.)
• Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives and understanding of the business.

• Experience with other cloud platforms and AI/ML tools.
