Maintenance Technician I

The Mechanic I is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic maintenance and repair tasks to ensure reliable operation of plant facilities and equipment. This role supports preventative maintenance activities andassistssenior mechanics and technicians in troubleshooting mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:â

• Perform routine maintenance inspections and minor repairs on machinery tools and building systems.

• Assistwith preventative maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime.

• Replace and adjust belts filters fluids and worn parts as directed.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas tools and equipment.

• Document maintenance activities and report equipment issues to supervisors.

• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:â

• High school diploma or GEDrequired.

• 12 years of maintenance or mechanical experience preferred.

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
