Role & Responsibilities
As EMSTech continues to grow were looking for a detaildriven and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Belleville this role youll work closely with our After Sales Parts & Service (ASPS) team to support customer deliveries and ensure the seamless flow of parts and services to our global clients. Youll provide accurate information on pricing orders and lead times while keeping internal teams and customers aligned every step of the way. Here are some of the things youll be working on:
Coordinate all courier shipments efficiently. Review system contracts to advise the team on shipping requirements and their cost/timing impacts.
Seek and negotiate cost reductions and most efficient shipping and packaging options to minimize cost and increase effectiveness. Maintain a shipment log for tracking and future analysis aiding in comparisons and budgeting.
Understand the products and their classifications to determine the appropriate HS/Tariff codes. Regularly check and update HS/Tariff codes to ensure compliance with current regulations.
Familiarize yourself with various Incoterms and their implications on responsibilities and costs. Advise the project and ASPS team on the most suitable for each shipping scenario.
Assess the need for insurance based on the value and nature of shipments. Calculate insurance values and obtain certificates when required.
Complete and submit export declarations in compliance with regulatory requirements. Determine the best method for exports over $2500 to locations other than Canada. Respond to consignee/agent requests related to custom clearance requirements.
Create and edit commercial invoices packing lists bill of lading etc. as required for each shipment. Understand and handle specific documents required for different shipments (e.g. NAFTA Manufacturers Affidavits).
Qualifications
Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business Logistics Supply Chain or other related field.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in logistics shipping & receiving distribution or a similar industry.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and other software as required.
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with suppliers customers and project team members both verbally and in written formats.
High attention to detail ability to multi-task prioritize and manage time effectively.
