Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Partner with sales teams to review customer requirements and generate technical proposals
• Provide endtoend engineering support for generator installationssite assessments electrical evaluations system layout and integration with existing infrastructure
• Recommend equipment (ATS paralleling gear switchgear) that meets project specifications
• Design electrical systems components and equipment based on project requirements
• Create schematics drawings and technical documentation
• Specify materials components and electrical equipment
• Assist in planning and executing electrical engineering projects
• Provide technical support during installation commissioning and testing
• Work closely with the electric power sales team project management and our service teams
• Communicate effectively with vendors contractors and consulting engineers
• Prepare reports proposals and presentations as needed
• Build and strengthen relationships with key clients and vendors in collaboration with other Ziegler sales representatives
• Works with clients to understand their technical challenges and suggest solutions or improvements
• Learn about CAT products allied products and comparisons against competitive products in order to offer the best solutions based oncustomer interests and concerns

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required (or equivalent experience) Preferably in an Engineering discipline
• 2 years of electrical engineering experience
• PE certification preferred
• Strong understanding of distributed generation systems switchgear controls schemes and electrical design principles
• Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD Revit ETAP MATLAB or similar)
• Knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards
• Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills
• Personal Attributes: Customer Focus Problem Solving Attention to Detail Sociability Achievement Orientation forward thinking mindset and strong mechanical aptitude
• Electric Power Electrician Generator or Reciprocating Engine experience desired
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record

Travel:

• Up to 25% over night travel

Minimum Physical Requirements:

• Standing walking using hands talking hearing

The pay range for this position is

Starting wage is dependent on skills experience education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicants location. Along with competitive pay full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
