Experienced Preschool Teacher

We are seeking an Experienced Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated team at The Sapling School in Fair Lawn NJ. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience. The hours for this position will be anywhere from 9am to 6:30pm

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social emotional cognitive and physical development.
• Create a safe welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
• Observe and assess the progress of each child providing feedback to parents and staff as needed.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to maintain program quality and consistency.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance development and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with parents addressing questions and concerns in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a preschool teacher or in early childhood education.
• Relevant certifications or degrees in early childhood education or related fields preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
